I love Dunnellon! Having come from a small town in North Florida, I can appreciate the strong values the families in town work so hard to instill in our local youth.

Two Rivers converge in downtown Dunnellon - the Withlacoochee and the Rainbow Rivers. These all meet up and converge into the Withlacoochee and Lake Rousseau and flow on to the Gulf of Mexico. The Rainbow River State Park is a beautiful place to spend the day. There is golfing, biking, horseback riding, rafting, fishing and the list is continuing to grow.

The downtown area of the Historic District plans all sorts of events to keep the community active and fun; and of course, to help in bringing in more business to the older and historic downtown area. There are so many quaint shops opening up in town now that it makes for a very pleasant day of shopping and luncheons. If you are interested in a shop in town or some sort of business, call…we have plenty of information to go on.

Dunnellon has recently been chosen as part of the Florida Main Street Community Program and there are many exciting things happening for us from this designation.

Twice a year there is a wonderful Bluegrass Festival on the “Backwaters” of the Withlacoochee. Such groups as the Osborne Brothers, The Lewis Family and many others show up for this event faithfully.

Our little town is surely growing. I for one am pleased in the direction it’s taking. It seems to me we are hanging onto that “small town feel” that seems to be so rapidly disappearing from our grasp.

Please feel free to give me a call. I would love to show you around.
